Ronan Farrow celebrates Father's Day at Woody Allen's expense

Ronan Farrow celebrates Father's Day at Woody Allen's expense

Ronan Farrow with his mom, Mia Farrow.
Ronan Farrow certainly didn't forget dad Woody Allenon Father's Day, despite their reported decades-long estrangement.

"Happy father's day— or as they call it in my family, happy brother-in-law's day," Ronan tweeted Sunday.

Mom Mia Farrow got in on the fun too, retweeting Ronan's missive and adding the word, "Boom."

Things got, well, awkward between Allen and Mia Farrow in the early '90s, after Allen started up an affair with Soon-Yi Previn, Mia's adopted daughter with Andre Previn. Woody and Mia, who were longtime romantic companions but had never married, broke up in 1992; Woody married Soon-Yi, who was never legally his stepdaughter, in 1997.

Soon-Yi, now 41, and Woody, 76, who have adopted two daughters, appeared at the Los Angeles Film Festival on Thursday for the premiere of the writer-director's "To Rome With Love."

Ronan — birth name Satchel — was 5 at the time of his parents' breakup. If that seems a bit young to get upset about what he has called "such a moral transgression," remember: Ronan, now 24 and a Rhodes Scholar, entered college at 11 and was accepted into Yale Law at 15, though he deferred enrollment for a few years so he could do a little work with the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.

It's all relative. No pun intended
